About Me
Before training to be a therapist, Marianne worked for 16 years in Advertising in London New York and Singapore. Moving to Asia and taking time to reassess her passions, Marianne decided to pursue her calling and in 2014 she embarked on her journey to becoming a therapist. The initial step was to gain a MA in Art Therapy from LASALLE, Singapore, and later this was complemented with MA in Counseling from Monash University, Australia. During her training she provided therapy to Cancer patients and their families, as well as women in a large-scale mental health institution. In the subsequent years Marianne lived in Hong Kong where she provided therapy through the Jadis Blurton Family Center and her private practice, Shift Art Therapy. In her last year in Hong Kong, Marianne worked part time as a school counsellor at an international school. Marianne supports both with adults and children. She has helped clients and their families with issues ranging from self-esteem, divorce management, ADHD, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, grief, and depression. Having recently relocated to Buffalo, Marianne is enrolled at the University of Buffalo in the fall of 2021 to embark on the path to licensure in NY State.
